Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 9, 2025
1. Who we are
CopyTemplates is operated by Shlomo Genchin (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
2. What we collect
- Email address — provided when you sign in via Google or magic link. Used for authentication, purchase receipts, and occasional product updates.
- Payment information — processed entirely by Paddle (our Merchant of Record). Shlomo Genchin does not have access to, and does not store, view, or process any payment details or sensitive payment data. Only Paddle securely handles payment information.
- Usage data — which techniques you favorite and when you signed in. No tracking pixels, no analytics scripts, no ad networks.
3. How we use your data
- Authenticate your account and grant access to paid content
- Process purchases and refunds (via Paddle)
- Send transactional emails (receipts, access confirmations)
- Watermark paid content downloads to prevent piracy
4. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers. We may share limited data with the following trusted services used to run CopyTemplates:
- Clerk — authentication provider. Stores your email and login method. Clerk Privacy Policy
- Paddle — payment processor (Merchant of Record). Handles all billing and tax. Paddle processes personal data in accordance with its own Privacy Policy. Paddle and Shlomo Genchin act as independent data controllers for personal data related to purchases.
- Neon — database hosting. Stores your account ID, favorites, and purchase records.
- Vercel — website hosting. May log IP addresses in server logs (standard CDN behavior).
5. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for authentication (Clerk session cookies). No tracking cookies, no third-party analytics cookies. No consent banner is needed because we don’t use non-essential cookies.
6. Data retention
Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days. Paddle retains payment records as required by tax law.
7. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing Shlomo@unbore.com. If you’re in the EU/UK, you have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
8. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication is handled by Clerk (no passwords stored). Paid content is protected with server-side access checks and invisible watermarking.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
